Fittonia Red Forest - Eye-Catching and Vibrant Plant
Plant Name: Fittonia Red Forest, also known as Fittonia albivenis 'Red Forest.'
Description: Fittonia Red Forest is a distinct variety known for its eye-catching, dark green leaves with vibrant, fiery red veins and accents. The contrast between the green and red creates a captivating and visually appealing appearance. Please note that each plant is unique and may vary from the one depicted in the photo.
Plant Care
Light: This plant prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. It can thrive in outdoor shaded areas, bright indirect light, or direct morning sun for about 4 hours per day.
Water: Water your plants once a week using the provided water dropper included in each plant box. Apply 5 full droppers of water close to the stem, allowing it to penetrate through the pebbles to reach the roots. No need to remove the pebbles. Use your intuition to determine when to water - droopy or shriveled leaves may indicate a need for water, while dusty leaves can be cleaned with a shower or wipe. Fittonia varieties appreciate high humidity levels, so regular misting or placing a tray of water near the plant can help maintain adequate humidity.
Maintenance: Regularly prune to encourage bushier growth and pinch off any leggy or overly long stems.
Additional Care
The plant box is designed to serve as a planter, so the plants do not need to be removed until they outgrow the box. After a few months, when you notice that your plants have grown out of the box, it’s time to transfer them to a pot with a drainage system. To remove the plants from the box, simply soak the pebbles in water for 10 minutes until the pebbles are loose and can be easily removed. The proper soil to use would be a succulent or cactus mix. Use your intuition to determine when to water.
